William A. Colom, M.D.

Dr. Colom is a specialist in Internal Medicine, practicing in New London. Dr. Colom completed his undergraduate studies at Washington & Lee University in Virginia. His majors were Pre-medical Studies with a minor in Psychology. He was inducted into Psi Chi, the national honorary undergraduate psychology fraternity.

Dr. Colom completed his three year Internal Medicine specialty internship and residency at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Hospital.

The Doctor is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a senior staff member at Lawrence & Memorial Hospitals. He is a member of the New London County Medical Association, the Connecticut State Medical Association, and President of one of the most successful and prestigious medical practices in Connecticut.

Dr. Colom has three children and two grandchildren. He resides in Stonington. "Dr. C" is fluent in Spanish, an avid bicyclist, amateur astronomer, and a lover of music, from classical and opera to traditional and ethnic. Dr. Colom is a history scholar and keenly interested in genealogy. He enjoys cooking and is a wine enthusiast.

He has been a successful sports car racer and was the Regional Medical Director for the Sports Car Club of America for ten years. He is still deeply involved in motor sports. The attention to detail and precision required in his hobbies has carried over to his medical career.

"Dr. C" has practiced in New London for over 35 years. He is known among his peers as a highly accurate and superb diagnostician. He has enjoyed remarkable loyalty from his patients over the years...and now takes care of many of their children...a tribute to his love of medicine and his love for his patients.
